Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the population needing assistance in Rockhampton in 2011 compared to Brisbane SD shows that there was a lower proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of people with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 19.3% of the population needing assistance aged 15 years or more held educational qualifications, and 64.0% had no qualifications, compared with 23.0% and 62.7% respectively for Brisbane SD.

The major differences between qualifications held by the population needing assistance in Rockhampton and Brisbane SD were:
