Parkhurst - Limestone Creek - Mount Archer is located to the north of the Rockhampton urban area. Parkhurst - Limestone Creek - Mount Archer is bounded by Ramsay Creek and Livingstone Shire in the north, Livingstone Shire and Limestone Creek in the east, Pilbeam Drive and the localities of Frenchville and Norman Gardens in the south, and Yeppoon Road, Yaamba Road, Nuttall Street, Limestone Creek and the Fitzroy River in the west.

Settlement history

Settlement of the area dates from the 1850s, with land used mainly for farming and grazing. Industrial development took place from the post-war years. Rapid residential growth occurred between 1991 and 1996, with growth continuing at a slower rate between 1996 and 2006 as new dwellings were added to the area. The population and dwelling stock declined slightly between 2006 and 2011.
