Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Casey Growth Area in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,216 people or 13.8%)
  • Retail Trade (1,856 people or 11.6%)
  • Manufacturing (1,776 people or 11.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,848 people in total or 36.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Casey employed 12.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.3% in Retail Trade; and 12.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Casey Growth Area and the City of Casey were:
