Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Cranbourne East in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,532 people or 15.0%)
  • Retail Trade (1,223 people or 12.0%)
  • Manufacturing (1,210 people or 11.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,965 people in total or 38.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Casey employed 12.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.3% in Retail Trade; and 12.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Cranbourne East and the City of Casey were:
