Occupation of employment
There were more female professionals in Sunshine in 2016 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Sunshine in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (409 females or 23.4%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (345 females or 19.8%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (283 females or 16.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,037 females in total or 59.4% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Sunshine North employed 17.5% in Professionals; 15.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 17.8% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Sunshine and Sunshine North were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (23.4% compared to 17.5%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (19.8% compared to 15.9%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Labourers (11.9% compared to 15.3%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (3.6% compared to 5.8%)

The largest changes in the occupations of female residents between 2006 and 2016 in Sunshine were for those employed as:
- Community and Personal Service Workers (+141 females)
- Professionals (+134 females)
