Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in St Albans District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (1,396 males or 13.9%)
  • Manufacturing (1,371 males or 13.6%)
  • Construction (1,365 males or 13.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 4,132 males in total or 41.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Brimbank employed 13.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; 12.0% in Manufacturing; and 14.8% in Construction.
