Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Derrimut in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (375 females or 19.9%)
  • Retail Trade (209 females or 11.1%)
  • Education and Training (160 females or 8.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 744 females in total or 39.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 21.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.7% in Retail Trade; and 13.0% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Derrimut and Greater Melbourne were:
