Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Ardeer in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (115 males or 15.3%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (80 males or 10.6%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (58 males or 7.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 253 males in total or 33.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Sunshine NIEC employed 11.9% in Construction; 12.4% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 4.1% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Ardeer and Sunshine NIEC were:
