Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Sunshine District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (1,452 males or 12.8%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (1,427 males or 12.6%)
  • Manufacturing (1,307 males or 11.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 4,186 males in total or 37.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Horseshoe Bend Ward employed 15.8% in Construction; 11.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 12.5% in Manufacturing.

The major difference between the jobs held by the male population of the Sunshine District and Horseshoe Bend Ward was:
