Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Albion in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (198 females or 22.1%)
  • Retail Trade (103 females or 11.5%)
  • Education and Training (90 females or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 391 females in total or 43.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, St Albans employed 20.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.2% in Retail Trade; and 6.8% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Albion and St Albans were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (10.1% compared to 6.8%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in public administration and safety (6.2% compared to 3.4%)
