Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in St Albans District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,608 females or 19.9%)
  • Retail Trade (946 females or 11.7%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (739 females or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,293 females in total or 40.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the Keilor Park & District employed 17.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.7% in Retail Trade; and 5.2% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the St Albans District and the Keilor Park & District were:
