Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of females in the City of Brimbank compared to Sunshine NIEC shows that there was a lower proportion of females who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 8.0% of the female population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 9.2% for Sunshine NIEC.
The major differences in the female age groups reporting a need for assistance in Grasslands Ward and Sunshine NIEC were:
- A larger percentage of females aged 85 and over (74.6% compared to 59.2%)
- A larger percentage of females aged 75 to 79 (38.3% compared to 34.4%)
- A larger percentage of females aged 65 to 69 (17.8% compared to 14.1%)
- A smaller percentage of females aged 80 to 84 (49.2% compared to 52.7%)
