Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in The Basin in 2011 compared to the City of Knox shows that there was a similar proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $1,500 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $400 per week).

Overall, 11.1% of the population earned a high income, and 32.2% earned a low income, compared with 11.2% and 35.6% respectively for the City of Knox.

The major differences between The Basin's individual incomes and the City of Knox's individual incomes were:
