Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in the City of Knox in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a lower proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 11.0% of the population earned a high income, and 33.5% earned a low income, compared with 13.7% and 32.1% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
