Dominant groups

In 2011, there were 5,901 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in City of Knox, compared with 58,507 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in the City of Knox in 2011, compared to Greater Melbourne, shows that 7.7% used public transport, while 76.1% used a private vehicle, compared with 13.6% and 65.1% respectively in Greater Melbourne.
