Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the population born in India in Rockhampton in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (217 people or 45.8%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (66 people or 13.9%)
- Machinery Operators And Drivers (59 people or 12.4%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 342 people in total or 72.2% of the employed population born in India.
In comparison, Regional QLD employed 29.6% in Professionals; 13.5% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 11.2% in Machinery Operators And Drivers.
