Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Elizabeth in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (37 males or 22.6%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (36 males or 22.0%)
  • Labourers (33 males or 20.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 106 males in total or 64.6% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Smithfield employed 25.2% in Machinery Operators And Drivers; 15.0% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 21.1% in Labourers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Elizabeth and Smithfield were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (22.0% compared to 15.0%)
