Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Craigmore in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (647 males or 24.6%)
  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (511 males or 19.4%)
  • Labourers (442 males or 16.8%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,600 males in total or 60.9% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Elizabeth East employed 24.0% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 19.0% in Machinery Operators And Drivers; and 21.4% in Labourers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Craigmore and Elizabeth East were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Professionals (8.4% compared to 4.7%)
