Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Elizabeth East in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (155 females or 26.4%)
  • Retail Trade (82 females or 13.9%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (56 females or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 293 females in total or 49.8% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Blakeview employed 30.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.2% in Retail Trade; and 5.1% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Elizabeth East and Blakeview were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in accommodation and food services (9.5% compared to 5.1%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (26.4% compared to 30.0%)
