Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Mandurah in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (4,199 females or 23.8%)
  • Education and Training (2,501 females or 14.2%)
  • Retail Trade (2,500 females or 14.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 9,200 females in total or 52.1% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) employed 23.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.5% in Education and Training; and 11.8% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Mandurah and National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in mining (3.6% compared to 0.7%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in accommodation and food services (8.9% compared to 6.5%)
