Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Cockburn in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (7,425 females or 24.3%)
  • Education and Training (4,383 females or 14.3%)
  • Retail Trade (3,270 females or 10.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 15,078 females in total or 49.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) employed 23.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.5% in Education and Training; and 11.8% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Cockburn and National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in mining (2.7% compared to 0.7%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (14.3% compared to 12.5%)
