Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Ipswich in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (12,790 females or 25.2%)
  • Education and Training (6,547 females or 12.9%)
  • Retail Trade (5,715 females or 11.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 25,052 females in total or 49.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) employed 23.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.5% in Education and Training; and 11.8% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Ipswich and National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) were:
