Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (212,195 males or 16.8%)
  • Manufacturing (131,729 males or 10.4%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (123,627 males or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 467,551 males in total or 37.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the Shire of Cardinia employed 22.4% in Construction; 12.8% in Manufacturing; and 7.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) and the Shire of Cardinia were:
