Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Wanneroo in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (12,217 females or 24.2%)
  • Retail Trade (6,453 females or 12.8%)
  • Education and Training (6,392 females or 12.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 25,062 females in total or 49.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Campbelltown City employed 26.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.0% in Retail Trade; and 11.7% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Wanneroo and Campbelltown City were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in other services (5.0% compared to 2.5%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in mining (2.2% compared to 0.1%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in transport, postal and warehousing (1.8% compared to 4.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in manufacturing (2.8% compared to 5.2%)
