Dominant groups
Analysis of the household/family types in the City of Rockingham in 2021 compared to Logan City shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 32.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.6% were one-parent families, compared with 33.3% and 14.9% respectively for Logan City .
There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 22.4% compared to 19.0% in Logan City while the proportion of couples without children was 25.1% compared to 22.7% in Logan City .
