Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Growth LGAs in WA in 2021 compared to Camden Council shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 35.0% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.2% were one-parent families, compared with 47.5% and 11.7% respectively for Camden Council .

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 21.2% compared to 13.5% in Camden Council while the proportion of couples without children was 24.2% compared to 22.3% in Camden Council .
