Dominant groups
Analysis of the five year age groups of Growth LGAs in WA in 2021 compared to Redland City shows that there was a higher proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 21.3% of the population was aged between 0 and 15, and 13.7% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 17.8% and 20.9% respectively for Redland City .
The major differences between the age structure of Growth LGAs in WA and Redland City were:

- 30 to 34 (+36,110 persons)
- 55 to 59 (+33,807 persons)
- 50 to 54 (+32,180 persons)
