Dominant groups

Analysis of the share of the male population attending educational institutions in Growth LGAs in Victoria in 2021 compared to Moreton Bay Region shows that there was a higher proportion attending primary school, a similar proportion attending secondary school, and a higher proportion engaged in tertiary level education.

Overall, 10.4% of the male population were attending primary school, 7.1% of the male population were attending secondary institutions, and 6.0% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 9.3%, 7.6% and 4.2% respectively for Moreton Bay Region .

The major differences between the share of the male population attending learning institutions in Growth LGAs in Victoria and Moreton Bay Region were:

  • A larger percentage of males attending a primary school (any type) (10.4% compared to 9.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of males not attending (66.8% compared to 70.8%)
