Dominant groups

In 2021, there were 377,274 separate houses in the area, 64,881 medium density dwellings, and 34,661 high density dwellings.

Analysis of the types of dwellings in Growth LGAs in NSW in 2021 shows that 78.8% of all dwellings were separate houses; 13.6% were medium density dwellings, and 7.2% were in high density dwellings, compared with 81.6%, 15.2%, and 2.4% in the the City of Mandurah respectively.

In 2021, a total of 95.1% of the dwellings in Growth LGAs in NSW were occupied on Census night, compared to 83.4% in the City of Mandurah . The proportion of unoccupied dwellings was 4.8%, which is smaller compared to that found in the City of Mandurah (16.5%).
