Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of males in the National Growth Areas Alliance compared to the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale shows that there was a higher proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 6.5% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 3.6% for the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale .
The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in Redland City and the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale were:
- A larger percentage of males aged 70 to 74 (11.6% compared to 8.6%)
