Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of people in the National Growth Areas Alliance compared to the City of Ipswich shows that there was a lower proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 4.6% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 6.6% for the City of Ipswich .

The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in the City of Armadale and the City of Ipswich were:

  • A smaller percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (24.3% compared to 30.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons aged 70 to 74 (10.8% compared to 15.9%)
