Dominant groups
Analysis of the year of arrival for the population born in Iran of the City of Knox in 2021 compared to Eastern Metropolitan Region shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who arrived before 2001, as well as a smaller proportion of recent overseas arrivals (those who arrived between 2016 to 10 Aug 2021).
Overall, 16.4% of the population born in Iran arrived before 2001, and 21.0% arrived during or after 2016, compared with 17.1% and 26.6% respectively for Eastern Metropolitan Region.
The major differences between the year of arrival data the population born in Iran in the City of Knox and Eastern Metropolitan Region were:
