Dominant groups
Analysis of the year of arrival for the population born in Vietnam of the City of Knox in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Knox shows that there was a larger proportion of people who arrived before 2001, and a smaller proportion of recent overseas arrivals (those who arrived between 2016 to 10 Aug 2021).
Overall, 69.0% of the population born in Vietnam arrived before 2001, and 8.5% arrived during or after 2016, compared with 47.5% and 11.1% respectively for the total population in the City of Knox.
