Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Ferntree Gully in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (1,933 males or 27.1%)
  • Professionals (1,286 males or 18.0%)
  • Managers (1,017 males or 14.3%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 4,236 males in total or 59.4% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Eastern Metropolitan Region employed 18.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 27.2% in Professionals; and 18.1% in Managers.
