Analysis of the household/family types of non-English speakers in the City of Knox in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Knox shows that there was a higher proportion of non-English speakers in couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion in one-parent families. Overall, 66.7% of non-English speakers were in couple families with child(ren), and 8.0% were one-parent families, compared with 54.9% and 11.8% respectively for the total population in the City of Knox.
There were a lower proportion of non-English speakers in lone person households and a lower proportion in couples without children.
