Dominant groups
Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings for Korean speakers in the City of Knox in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne, shows that there was a lower proportion of Korean speakers in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a higher proportion of dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 7.3% of Korean speakers were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and 48.2% in 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 30.9% and 34.1% for Greater Melbourne respectively.
The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling Korean speakers in the City of Knox and Greater Melbourne were:
- A larger percentage of people in 3 bedrooms (44.5% compared to 34.6%)
- A larger percentage of people in 4 bedrooms (36.8% compared to 28.1%)
- A smaller percentage of people in 2 bedrooms (6.5% compared to 24.3%)
