Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Ferntree Gully in 2021 compared to Wantirna South shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 33.2% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.6% were one-parent families, compared with 40.4% and 10.0% respectively for Wantirna South.
