Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Wantirna in 2021 compared to Dandenong Foothills Policy Area shows that 94.2% of the households owned at least one car, while 2.9% did not, compared with 92.4% and 4.0% respectively in Dandenong Foothills Policy Area.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 27.6% of the households owned one car; 47.1% owned two cars; and 19.5% owned three cars or more, compared with 29.7%; 39.8% and 22.9% respectively for Dandenong Foothills Policy Area.
