Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Dobson Ward in 2021 compared to Dandenong Foothills Policy Area shows that 92.7% of the households owned at least one car, while 3.9% did not, compared with 92.4% and 4.0% respectively in Dandenong Foothills Policy Area.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 28.6% of the households owned one car; 38.7% owned two cars; and 25.4% owned three cars or more, compared with 29.7%; 39.8% and 22.9% respectively for Dandenong Foothills Policy Area.
