The size of the City of Knox's labour force aged 55 to 64 years in 2021 was 14,384 persons, of which 4,591 were employed part-time and 8,572 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status of people aged 55 to 64 years (as a percentage of the labour force) in the City of Knox in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 96.4% of the labour force aged 55 to 64 years was employed (0.0% of the population aged 55 to 64 years), and 3.6% unemployed (0.0% of the population aged 55 to 64 years), compared with 95.7% and 4.3% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
