Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Lugarno in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (330 people or 11.5%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (329 people or 11.5%)
  • Education and Training (329 people or 11.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 988 people in total or 34.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Georges River Council area employed 15.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 7.8% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Lugarno and Georges River Council area were:
