Dominant groups

In 2016, there were 21,748 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Georges River Council area, compared with 36,465 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in the Georges River Council area in 2016, compared to Greater Sydney, shows that 31.3% used public transport, while 52.4% used a private vehicle, compared with 22.7% and 58.1% respectively in Greater Sydney.
