Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Wandal and West Rockhampton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (475 females or 34.6%)
  • Education and Training (214 females or 15.6%)
  • Retail Trade (138 females or 10.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 827 females in total or 60.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Parkhurst - Limestone Creek - Mount Archer employed 23.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 18.6% in Education and Training; and 11.7% in Retail Trade.
