Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Gracemere in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (935 people or 17.3%)
  • Retail Trade (569 people or 10.6%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (463 people or 8.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,967 people in total or 36.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Rockhampton employed 18.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.7% in Retail Trade; and 5.4% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
