Dominant groups
Analysis of the language used at home by the population of Casula in 2021 compared to Green Valley shows that there was a larger proportion of people who used English only, and a smaller proportion of those using a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).
Overall, 38.0% of the population used English only, and 56.2% used a non-English language, compared with 27.5% and 67.1% respectively for Green Valley.
The dominant language used at home, other than English, in Casula was Arabic, with 17.6% of the population, or 2,924 people using this language at home.
The major differences between the languages used at home for the population of Casula and Green Valley in 2021 were:
- A larger percentage using Arabic at home (17.6% compared to 10.3%)
- A smaller percentage using Vietnamese at home (3.7% compared to 13.9%)

The largest changes in the languages used by the population in Casula between 2016 and 2021 were for those using:

- Vietnamese (+173 persons)
- Urdu (+96 persons)
- Hindi (-93 persons)
