The three largest ancestries in Liverpool City in 2011 were Australian, English and Italian.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Liverpool City in 2011 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:

  • Australian (33,030 people or 18.3%)
  • English (26,991 people or 15.0%)
  • Italian (12,930 people or 7.2%)
  • Indian (10,395 people or 5.8%)
  • Lebanese (9,270 people or 5.1%)

In combination these five ancestries account for 92,616 responses in total, or 51.41% of all responses.

The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Liverpool City and Greater Sydney were:
