Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Green Valley in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (593 people or 12.6%)
  • Retail Trade (581 people or 12.3%)
  • Manufacturing (505 people or 10.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,679 people in total or 35.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Liverpool LGA employed 13.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.9% in Retail Trade; and 8.2% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Green Valley and Liverpool LGA were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (10.7% compared to 8.2%)
