Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in West Hoxton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (530 people or 11.7%)
  • Retail Trade (508 people or 11.2%)
  • Construction (462 people or 10.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,500 people in total or 33.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Austral employed 14.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.2% in Retail Trade; and 11.2% in Construction.
