Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Mortdale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (773 people or 14.3%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (572 people or 10.6%)
  • Education and Training (527 people or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,872 people in total or 34.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Georges River Council area employed 15.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 7.8% in Education and Training.
