Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Shire of Mundaring in 2011 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Retail Trade (1,855 people or 10.5%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,742 people or 9.9%)
  • Construction (1,739 people or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,336 people in total or 30.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Greater Perth employed 10.4% in Retail Trade; 10.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.0% in Construction.
